Plantar Hyperhidrosis is a condition that makes a person’s feet sweat much more than a typical person’s feet. If untreated, this amount of excessive sweating can lead to the development of unwanted bacteria. The ailment comes with the tendency to ruin shoes, slip inside shoes and make a person uncomfortable while walking.

BOTOX® is injected directly into the feet to reduce the amount of sweat production. While sweating is important for regulating your body temperature, preventing your feet from sweating should not have a major negative impact on your health.

Typically, the procedure for using BOTOX® for feet is rather simple. The patient undergoing the treatment receives injections directly in their feet.  Injections are swift and quick.

Once BOTOX® is injected into the feet at multiple sites, it causes paralysis in the nerves responsible for sweat production. The result is that the feet do not produce as much sweat as before helping to eliminate odor and bacteria in the process!
