He furthered his education by obtaining his Doctoral of Podiatric Medicine from Scholl College in Chicago. Dr. Scherer's commitment to excellence is evident in his completion of a rigorous three-year surgical residency in Chicago, IL, focusing on foot and ankle reconstructive surgery and diabetic limb salvage.
As a former collegiate-level athlete, Dr. Scherer developed a keen interest in preventative medicine and the treatment of sports-related injuries. His dedication to advancing podiatric care is reflected in his board certification by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Scherer is an esteemed associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and holds memberships with the American Podiatric Medical Association, the California Podiatric Medical Association, and serves as the Secretary of the Los Angeles Podiatric Medical Association. He holds privileges at both Cedars Sinai Beverly Hills and Marina Del Rey. He is also an attending physician for the Cedars Sinai podiatry residency program.
